QUALIFICATIONS Arbor Cura staff have undertaken years of intensive training and assessment at the internationally renowned horticultural college Merrist Wood and also at Plumpton College.
We have staff who hold International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) qualifications for the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) so we are able to deal with dangerous trees that are unsafe to climb. We also employ staff with Signs, Cones & Lighting Certificates from BABTE (All of our staff undergo regular First Aid refresher training and undertake regular Aerial Rescue practice). Our climbing and rigging tackle is assessed by a qualified LOLER inspector (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) every 6 months in order to eliminate the risk of equipment failure. We fully comply with guidelines set out by the Arboricultural and Forestry Advisory Group (AFAG) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE). All pruning cuts comply to modern arboricultural principles which limit, as much as possible, the impact of tree surgery on tree health. |
